"All of the jobs are a necessity, if they are not performed then there are either sanitary or safety consequences that will arise," Layne said.

Layne understands that trash collection is not for everyone but says these workers are able to carry out their jobs in a joyful manner.

"I think people make the difference in the way you do your job and the way you feel about your job. For example trash collection is not a bad thing it just is not for every body, but without it we would not be able to exist as we do," Layne said.

Layne hopes that the students and faculty at LC can take appreciation for their space and lend a hand in picking up after themselves. He hopes that the students appreciate the work these workers put into making this place a beautiful and comfortable atmosphere.

"I am proud to be part of this group, proud of what the guys do and how they do it, I am also proud of this facility. We try to make [LC] the best it can truly be for our guests, students, faculty and staff," Layne said.
